West Brom fans are airing their frustrations with Kieran Gibbs following an injury update from journalist Joseph Masi.

The left-back is unavailable for Saturday’s match at Burnley due to picking up yet another injury.

That has sparked mockery and derision amongst the Albion fanbase, with many supporters fed up with the 31-year-old’s injury record.

Gibbs also missed the recent matches against Tottenham and Manchester United, and in total has missed ten games this campaign.

This time round the defender is suffering with a neck/shoulder issue, and it is not yet clear when he will be fit to return.

Fortunately, his absence should not hinder the Baggies too much.

Gibbs has been far from his best this campaign with a WhoScored average rating of 6.2.

West Brom

Conor Townsend is the better option for us so would likely have been picked ahead of Gibbs against Burnley anyway.

And Townsend’s form means we may have seen the last of Gibbs in an Albion shirt.

The former Arsenal man could be out for a number of weeks and may struggle to earn a place back in the side.

His contract expires in the summer too, and rumours linking him to Inter Miami mean his time at The Hawthorns is unlikely to be extended.

Here is how supporters have reacted to Gibbs’ latest injury setback.
