Lewis Jones has backed Aston Villa to hand out another convincing defeat to West Brom in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The Sky Sports pundit has predicted another 3-0 scoreline, but this time insisting that Ollie Watkins could score a treble for the home side.

Sam Allardyce will be desperate for a response from his side after what was their worst performance for months against Leicester on Thursday.

West Brom

Writing in his Sky Sports prediction column, Jones believes that it will be another heavy defeat for the Baggies in this huge derby.

“West Brom were really vulnerable to Leicester’s clever movement in attack on Thursday with Kyle Bartley and Dara O’Shea particularly uncomfortable at having to defend a yard higher in what was a must-win game for the Baggies,” he wrote.

“When the balance isn’t right between their attack and defence, West Brom are an easy team to create good chances against. Villa should be confident of finding the in-form Ollie Watkins in dangerous areas even without Jack Grealish to call on.”

West Brom

Big task.

We are hoping that the prospect of a massive derby game will have the Baggies more motivated given that shocking last outing at the King Power.

One of our biggest performances of the season came in that 3-2 win at Wolves earlier in the campaign, and a similar result would be brilliant.

Villa aren’t exactly in the best run of form this month, having only won one of their previous seven outings, and that was against Fulham.

Watkins isn’t doing great, either, having only score two goals in his previous 18 shots on goal in the Premier League; great form to pick up a treble?

Not many people would be fans of this “Jones Knows” column if he went for the obvious every single week, so maybe he is throwing the boat out to hopefully get more fans.

The Baggies need to be up for this one, don’t count us out yet.
