West Brom want to sign Trevoh Chalobah – Joseph Masi

West Brom are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Trevoh Chalobah this summer, according to Joseph Masi.

Things are starting to heat up at The Hawthorns after the arrival of Valerien Ismael, who has already signed Alex Mowatt.

Midfield appears to be a real area of concern at The Hawthorns, and the Baggies look set to raid Stamford Bridge yet again.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday, Masi shared the update as he predicted things to start heating up in the window.

Lots going on transfer wise at West Brom,” he wrote.

“I understand the club are interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah.”

Reinforce.

Chalobah spent last season on loan at Lorient in France, which was a step up from his previous stint at Huddersfield Town.

Being able to play in defence and the deep-laying midfield role will attract Ismael, who will want versatility throughout his squad.

Playing in Ligue 1 every single week will have really benefitted his progression, also the same country as our new French manager.

Chalobah was once described as the perfect replacement for John Terry, with his ability said to be “jaw-dropping” from a young age [Bleacher Report].

Time has passed since then, and just like many other young players at Chelsea, the opportunities appear to have come and gone.

Moving to the Baggies may be the perfect place for Chalobah to unravel that potential, and find a place that he can call home after many years moving around.

It is unknown whether it would be a loan or a permanent move, but time will tell, and this is certainly one to watch.
