West Brom manager Valerien Ismael has wasted no time in stamping his authority on his new side since taking over this summer, but not all decisions have been welcomed.
The Frenchman has trialled winger Matt Phillips in a central striking role, mainly on account of the shortage of forwards at the club.
Mbaye Diagne departed after the conclusion of his loan spell in May while Hal Robson-Kanu and Charlie Austin also left.

That’s left just Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson from last season, and both have been used on the wing, while forgotten man Kenneth Zohore has also been involved from the bench.
30-year-old Phillips scored in a behind-closed-doors friendly versus Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week and has looked sharp playing along the forward line.
We asked our panel of West Brom Super Fans whether it could be a shred move by Ismael, or a sign of desperation.
Here’s what they had to say…

It certainly is desperate times if no new striker is brought in before the start of the season.
Phillips could be a decent option as a third or fourth choice, but we’d be concerned if he was a regular option.
Grant should score his fair share of goals and they don’t have to come from a central striking position, but we still want to see more goals in the team.
In other West Brom news, the Albion have lost this talent to Aston Villa as player changes his Instagram bio.
