West Brom fans are thrilled that the club wants to sign Orlando City striker Daryl Dike this summer but have urged the board to get a deal done quickly.

The Express and Star reported on Monday [09/08/21] that the 21-year-old USA international is on Albion’s shortlist alongside teenage Manchester City forward Liam Delap as they hunt for a new striker.

Joseph Masi followed up his initial article with a suggestion on the Baggies Broadcast [10/08/21] that Albion could insert a permanent clause on the end of a loan bid.

Dike worked under Baggies boss Valerien Ismael at Barnsley during the second half of the 2020/21 Championship campaign, scoring nine goals in 19 games to spearhead the Yorkshire side’s push to the play-off positions.

We asked our panel of West Brom Super Fans what they thought of a potential move for Dike.

Here’s what they had to say…

A move for Dike just makes so much sense.

He knows the league, he knows Valerien Ismael, and he knows how to score and put himself about.

He terrorised Championship defenders last season after arriving on loan from the MLS and was an instrumental piece in the Tykes side that shocked the second-tier to reach the play-offs.

There are a few areas we still need to address, but a striker is probably the most important.

With Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson likely to be operating in the wider attacking roles, we need a physical forward in the centre, and Dike ticks that box.

In other West Brom news, an English club have made an approach to sign this Albion player.
