Alan Nixon: West Brom will be too good this season
West Brom will be too good not to secure an immediate return to the Premier League, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.
The Baggies added five fresh faces to their squad during the summer transfer window, but no signings were made on deadline day.
West Brom fans reckon they could do with more squad depth, but Valerien Ismael seems pleased with his current options.
A fan named Abhirup Saha asked Nixon on Twitter what his predictions are for the Championship season following the closure of the window.
He replied: “West Brom Fulham and Bournemouth will be too good.
“The rest can scramble for play offs and many have chances.”

West Brom added Jordan Hugill on loan from Norwich City, and the 29-year-old striker is expected to help bolster their attack.
With Kenneth Zohore not getting a deadline day exit, Ismael has six options to call on up-front, with Callum Robinson, Karlan Grant, Grady Diangana and Matt Phillips available.
At the back, Matt Clarke has been added to the department on loan from Brighton, while Adam Reach, Alex Mowatt and Jayson Molumby have come in to help boost the midfield depth.
While there are some worries over the right-back/right wing-back position, the Frenchman has huge faith in young duo Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Ethan Ingram [Joseph Masi], and the teenagers will provide Darnell Furlong with quality covers if need be.
With Sam Johnstone not sealing an exit, the England international goalkeeper is arguably the best in his position in the league, and the Baggies definitely have one of the best squads around, with their head coach a passionate genius ready to give all it takes for promotion.
In other West Brom news, Joseph Masi couldn’t believe what an Albion fan did in 1-0 win v Peterborough.
