West Brom to announce Kean Bryan deal in next 24 hours

West Brom are set to announce the signing of Kean Bryan in the next 24 hours, according to the Express and Star.

The defender will arrive as a free agent after turning down the chance to extend his contract at Sheffield United over the summer.

Bryan completed his medical on Monday morning, and the deal is now said to be likely confirmed on Tuesday.

West Brom

The Baggies are currently in the middle of an injury crisis.

Matt Clarke is already ruled out until October at the earliest after he was forced off in the victory against Blackburn.

Now, Dara O’Shea is likely to be added to that.

After rolling ankle in the defeat against Portugal, the defender was sent home early from the Republic of Ireland.

There will be a scan at the end of the week, but with Bryan arriving, the early signs are not looking good.

West Brom

Imminent.

With plenty of time in the bag, it looks as though Bryan will be set for his debut on Saturday against Millwall.

The defender scored at Old Trafford last season for the Blades and was given valuable exposure in the Premier League which will only make him a better player.

Although this new signing is good news, it means that O’Shea could be out for quite some time in the Championship.

The Irishman has been one of the standout players under Valerien Ismael this season, and we hope this doesn’t effect his development too much.

It is big shoes to fill for Bryan, who will be raring to go after months without a team or games to play – bring it on.
