Kean Bryan unlikely to feature for West Brom v Derby
Kean Bryan is unlikely to be available for West Brom when they take on Derby County later today, per the Birmingham Mail.
The Baggies have started this season strongly, winning four of their first six and drawing the other two.
They sit atop the Championship table, but dropped points on the weekend and will be looking to do better against Derby.
However, Bryan is unlikely to be deemed fit so Valerien Ismael is likely to go with the back three that played a few days ago.
Time to prove a point
Bryan was signed in the summer and there is plenty of intrigue behind watching him become a regular for the Baggies in the coming weeks.
He comes highly recommended and had former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder waxing lyrical back when the Blades signed him in 2018.
Wilder told the club website, “It’s a fantastic deal for us, Kean is naturally left-footed, he can play left centre-half, left-back and in midfield and he is a very good technical player we think we can develop.”
We’re sure that Ismael mirrored Wilder’s thoughts while bringing him to the Hawthorns, but will now have to rely on Semi Ajayi, Kyle Bartley and Cedric Kipre – the back three that started against Millwall.
Of them, Ajayi had a game to forget while Bartley made all the headlines for the Baggies.
Today’s game will be ideal for Ajayi to prove why he deserves a spot in this team as more performances like the one on the weekend could see Ismael axing him from the playing eleven.
