Kevin Phillips frustrated by West Brom after two draws in a row
We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Phillips as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…
Kevin Phillips has been left frustrated by West Brom after back-to-back home draws against Millwall and Derby.
Karlan Grant missed a penalty in the 1-1 draw against Millwall on Saturday while Albion failed to make a breakthrough in a goalless clash with Derby.
Many Baggies fans were left disappointed by the business done in the transfer window over the summer with Valerien Ismael failing to sign a proven goalscorer to add to his squad.

Ex-West Brom goal machine Phillips suggests that his former club may have earned more than just two points from Millwall and Derby had they done that.
“Frustration is the key word,” said Phillips to West Brom News when asked about West Brom’s last two games.
“I watched the game against Derby and they should have won with the chances they made.
“The only concern I have, and I’ve made it clear from day one, is having an out-and-out goalscorer. If they had one on the pitch against Derby with those balls being whipped across the box, someone who knows where the back of the net is would have got on the end of at least one of those.
“That’s still a slight concern for me.
“I think they will create a lot. [Grady] Diangana looked lively but then at the weekend, he got taken off at half-time.”
In other West Brom news, this Albion player appears to have deleted his social media accounts after being abused online.
