David Prutton predicts West Brom clash v Preston

David Prutton has backed West Brom to return to winning ways as they travel to take on Preston this afternoon.

The Baggies are two games without a win this month, drawing against both Millwall and Derby since the international break.

Prutton has insisted that Valerien Ismael will turn things around, starting with a 2-0 win at Deepdale on Saturday.

Writing in his Sky Sports prediction column, Prutton backed the Baggies to return to winning ways in the Championship.

“Preston are unbeaten in four now, which has helped lift some of the early concern around Deepdale after a poor start to the season and concerns about recruitment in attacking departments,” he wrote.

“West Brom did everything but score against Derby in midweek, and Valerien Ismael will be out to put things right on Saturday. I think they will.”

Hand it over.

This is a result that would delight every single last Baggies fan.

Ismael has been left frustrated over the past couple of weeks with numerous factors, but the main problem has been putting the ball in the back of the net.

It isn’t for the want of trying though, with the Albion having so many chances to do just that, especially against Derby.

The main problem in that goalless draw was that the majority of them fell to Darnell Furlong, and while he has had an excellent season so far, he isn’t there to score goals and you can tell.

Hopefully, we can get the early goal this afternoon and then kick on and win comfortably with another clean sheet.

Fingers crossed.
