Kevin Phillips baffled by West Brom star Callum Robinson
We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Phillips as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…
Kevin Phillips cannot understand why West Brom star Callum Robinson has refused to have the COVID-19 vaccine.
During the international break, Sky Sports quoted the 26-year-old as confirming that he’d opted against having the jab.
Robinson said that it’s his “personal choice” not to have it but did admit he could change his mind in the future.

The former Sheffield United and Preston attacker has since faced a backlash for admitting he hasn’t had it but he’s by no means the only footballer.
The Daily Mail reported last month that some Premier League clubs have as few as just six players who’ve been vaccinated against the virus.
Ex-Albion star Kevin Phillips is struggling to understand Robinson’s decision.
Speaking to West Brom News, he said: “At the end of the day, it’s his prerogative. He’ll have his reasons why so it’s not really for me to comment.

“All I will say is I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t have the vaccine but he must have his reasons why.
“That’s something you’d have to ask the player himself but in my opinion, I just don’t see why you would not take it.”
Robinson scored five goals in the international break with the Republic of Ireland.
He netted a hat-trick at the Aviva Stadium in an international friendly against 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar.
In other West Brom news, this never-before-seen starlet was spotted in training before the Blues game.
