Youssouf Mulumbu tweets as West Brom beat Birmingham 1-0

Youssouf Mulumbu seemed to have enjoyed seeing his former club West Brom beat Birmingham at The Hawthorns on Friday night.

Karlan Grant’s second-half strike was enough to secure all three points for Albion, who were dreadful for large parts of their 1-0 win.

Ex-Albion star Mulumbu must’ve been watching with the former midfielder tweeting “boing boing” straight after the full-time whistle was blown.

From Mulumbu to Molumby

West Brom probably didn’t deserve to win that.

Valerien Ismael’s men have had more frustrating performances than spectacular ones this season. However, after 12 matches, the Baggies are top of the Championship table.

A win is a win but how far can this team go when they seem to be struggling to get out of first gear for the majority of matches?

It was such a tough game to watch and most fans probably missed Grant’s winning goal because they fell asleep long before the Baggies forward made the net ripple.

There were some good points though with Jayson Molumby coming off the bench and impressing.

It was quite an underwhelming signing when the Ireland international joined us on loan from Brighton in the summer transfer window but based on what we saw from his display against Blues, he could end up being a very sound addition to the squad.

In other West Brom news, Don Goodman says Lee Bowyer will be furious at one moment in the match.
