David Prutton predicts West Brom vs Swansea City clash

West Brom travel to face Swansea City on Wednesday, and they will be keen to leave with a win after the hard-fought victory over Birmingham last time out.

The Swans are in great spirits after handing Cardiff City a 3-0 drubbing at home in their last game, though, and David Prutton is finding it hard to separate both teams when they clash tomorrow.

The Sky Sports pundit has predicted a 2-2 draw when West Brom take on Swansea, tipping Valerien Ismael’s side to get something out of the game due to their resilience.

Prutton wrote in his column on the website: “Swansea’s win over Cardiff in the South Wales derby will have been huge for morale under Russell Martin.

“A few more performances like that and they could be challenging a lot higher up the table.

“West Brom were frustrated for long periods against Birmingham on Friday night and it did look as though they might not get anything from the game at times.

“They struck late on to grind out the win, though, which is a sure-fire sign of a team capable of challenging for promotion.

17th-placed Swansea will be looking to get a result when they lock horns with second-placed West Brom in front of their fans, and despite the distance between them in the Championship table, the visitors should not expect an easy clash.

Ismael’s men are always looking to make a statement of intent, though, and they have what it takes to prove why they are one of the favourites for automatic promotion.

The Swans have only lost once at home, winning twice and drawing thrice, and they will fancy their chances against West Brom.

The Baggies have an impressive record on the road this term, winning thrice and drawing twice, and they have what it takes to pick up another crucial three points away from home.

Wednesday’s clash is unpredictable given how West Brom have played this term, but a win will definitely help them move closer to their dreams.

In other West Brom news, a Baggies legend has urged Ismael to make clinical January addition.
