West Brom team news against Swansea confirmed

Valerien Ismael has confirmed his West Brom team news for the Championship clash against Swansea on Wednesday.

The Baggies will once again be without Grady Diangana for the trip to Wales, with the attacker still struggling with his injury.

Alex Mowatt has been described as “touch and go” after he was once again withdrawn early against Birmingham.

Ismael confirmed the news in his press conference this afternoon, which was relayed by Joseph Masi on his personal Twitter account.

“Valerien Ismael has just held his pre-Swansea presser,” he wrote.

“A few stories to follow but he’s confirmed Grady Diangana won’t be involved while Alex Mowatt is touch and go.”

Based on this, it looks as though Mowatt is a major doubt.

The former Barnsley man is our key player in the middle of the side, with no one understanding the system of Ismael more.

This is now a real opportunity for Jayson Molumby.

After coming on in that win over Birmingham, the Irish international was one of the biggest bright-sparks at The Hawthorns.

Now it is time for him to prove that he can do it from whistle one, and push the Baggies forward towards another three points in a really tough clash.

Ismael will now need to prove he can guide his side to wins in the Championship potentially without his key man, something that will need to be done numerous times between now and the end of the season.

Fingers crossed for good news.
