Middlesbrough Super Fan delivers lowdown ahead of West Brom clash

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Super Fans on upcoming West Brom fixtures. Ahead of Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough, we spoke to Boro fan @Twe12thman.

West Brom will be aiming to record successive Championship victories on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Middlesbrough to The Hawthorns.

Albion beat Hull City at the same venue on Wednesday and now face another side low on confidence.

Neil Warnock’s side have lost their last two games and the 72-year-old is reportedly facing the sack if his team lose today.

Ahead of Saturday’s clash, West Brom News spoke to Middlesbrough fan @Twe12thman to gain the away side’s perspective.

What are your current thoughts on Middlesbrough? Should Neil Warnock be getting a better tune out of his squad?

I think the squad that we currently have is massively underachieving. We have the capabilities in that squad to be battling for top six with ease. Yes, the injuries have not helped us, but we should be doing better than we are. I don’t think you can solely put this down to the manager but he has to take a fair share of the blame.

Who is likely to pose the biggest threat to Albion?

If we are playing our strongest team, [Martin] Payero has the capability to unlock any defence with one pass, he has grown so much as time has gone on and has the potential to be anything he wants to be.

What sort of game are we likely to see on Saturday?

This will be a tough watch and an even tougher watch for ourselves as it could be an incredibly tough test for ourselves against a very good West Brom squad.

In other West Brom news, Valerien Ismael has used an Albion player to propose this major Championship change, in contrast to Burnley boss Sean Dyche.
