Steve Madeley: Not the end for Kean Bryan at West Brom
Steve Madeley has insisted that it isn’t the end for West Brom defender Kean Bryan at The Hawthorns this week.
The enforcer only signed this season but has already been ruled out for the entire campaign after suffering an ACL injury in the past week.
Madeley believes that after signing a two-year contract at the club, there is still another year to prove himself.
Writing for The Athletic, Madeley shared if there is still time for Bryan to prove himself to be a good signing by the Baggies.
“Bad news for Albion and Kean Bryan, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with anterior cruciate ligament damage,” he said.
“He’s had a strange Albion career so far. Has another year on his contract, though, so still time to get it going.”
Valerien Ismael must be tearing his hair out at updates such as these ones.
The Frenchman only brought Bryan to The Hawthorns after a major injury suffered by Dara O’Shea, only for them to be together in rehabilitation.
It leaves the Baggies with a major problem, especially given that Matt Clarke also suffered a serious facial injury against Middlesbrough – something which can hopefully heal over this international break.
Cedric Kipre has re-emerged in recent weeks, but he needs to prove himself too consistently before becoming a solid option.
Could this spark January action? Time will tell but it looks as though Bryan will get a chance to prove himself once again.
In other West Brom news, Matheus Pereira was spotted at The Hawthorns last week.
