Saido Berahino discusses West Brom fans and potential Hawthorns return
Former West Brom striker Saido Berahino claims that he loves West Brom fans and would be willing to return to the Hawthorns.
Speaking exclusively to The Baggies Podcast [via Birmingham Mail], the 28-year-old revealed that he loves the fans despite some West Brom fans booing him when he represented Stoke City.
Berahino currently plays for Sheffield Wednesday in League One as he looks to rebuild his career that fell apart in the summer of 2015.

Berahino said: “If the opportunity came, of course, I’d love to be back at the Hawthorns, playing week-in, week-out. I’ve never been at another club and had my own song, never had fans shout my name that loud, I fell in love with the West Brom fans.
“When I played versus West Brom for Stoke, some were booing me, but some came up to me after the game and were chatting to me. I would definitely come back if the opportunity came and was right for everyone.”
Could Berahino return?
The 28-year-old has only scored one goal in 15 appearances for the Owls this season, which isn’t the best of returns for a former Premier League striker.
If he could maybe rediscover that knack for scoring goals in the remainder of the season and the Baggies didn’t win promotion, then why shouldn’t they make a move?
He could still do a job, but he is going to have to prove himself in League One before the Baggies even consider a move.

However, you could also argue that a return would be an absolutely awful idea given the way things ended and the given the way his career has gone since then.
It is nice to hear that Berahino still has an affection for the Hawthorns and West Brom, but surely, he will never return?
It would be one of the odder moves of the last few years, to say the least.
