West Brom have no plans to sack Valerien Ismael

West Brom have no plans to sack Valerien Ismael just yet, despite some fans growing frustrated at the style of play.

The Express and Star claim that the Frenchman is under no “serious pressure” after the start to the season he has made.

The Baggies are 17 games into their season and sit in third place. They are also the third-top goalscorers in the division and remain undefeated at home.

However, some Baggies fans have expressed their frustrations at the football on display, but that won’t be enough for the board to make a change [Birmingham Mail].

Good news.

The truth is, it is ridiculous that we even have to talk about Ismael’s future, considering the Baggies are third in the league.

Yes, they are not the most eye-catching team, but they have turned in some big performances this season.

There have also been some absolutely turgid games that have also led to poor results but to be third in November is not a bad place to be.

The Hawthorns has also turned into a bit of a fortress, and they are unbeaten in the nine games they have played there so far.

It is good to hear that the Baggies have no plans to get rid of Ismael, and nor should they, but there are clearly a few issues that need resolving, and it is up to the Frenchman to sort them before the crowd turns against him.

This seems a long way off, but it is certainly possible.
