West Brom starlet Kevin Joshua could be set to quit the club
West Brom starlet Kevin Joshua is a wanted man, according to All Nigeria Soccer.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Southampton, and Championship rivals Fulham are keen on acquiring the 6ft 6in 19-year-old centre-back in January.
They report that Joshua has established himself as an important part of the Under-23s, and it seems as if his displays haven’t gone unnoticed, and the Baggies might have a fight on their hands if they want to keep him.
Bad news for West Brom.
Joshua has yet to make his first-team debut for Valerien Ismael’s side, but given the injury woes at the back, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see him in the first team soon enough.
Standing at the height that he does, you would think that the physicality of the Championship won’t be a problem, and if he can play some first-team games, then maybe he won’t be inclined to leave.
However, the likes of Spurs and Villa are probably big draws for a player like Joshua, and it will be intriguing to see what he would do if they were to make an offer.
As it stands, though, the 19-year-old is in the West Brom academy and is making a big impression there.
Hopefully, he decides to stay or the clubs interested don’t make a move in January, or the Baggies could lose another potential first-team player leave way too early.
