West Brom Super Fans react to Kevin Joshua transfer links

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Brom News Facebook page about Kevin Joshua.

The 19-year-old is supposedly the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Southampton, and Fulham, despite the fact he has never made a first-team appearance [All Nigeria Soccer].

The 6ft 6in defender, though, has impressed for Albion’s Under-23s, and it looks as if he could leave in January, despite only joining the club this year.

This has annoyed our Super Fans, who can’t believe that the club could lose Joshua.

Here’s what they had to say…

Valerien Ismael actually has a few injury concerns at the back, so you would think that Joshua might not actually be that far away from a first-team appearance.

Certainly, given the interest from a few Premier League teams and also a Championship rival, you would think the Baggies should maybe play Joshua just to keep him happy.

Given his height and physicality, he should be able to deal with the Championship, and we think Baggies fans would rather see Joshua play than leave the club without ever playing for the first team.

It is very clear that our Super Fans are annoyed by this potential transfer, and we just have to hope that the Baggies can cling on and perhaps introduce the Irishman to the first team.

Certainly, it would be a huge shame if Joshua left the club to go to one of these other teams without ever having the chance to impress in the first team.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies could be set to lose another young talent in January.
