West Brom man Ethan Ingram wants more first-team chances

West Brom sensation Ethan Ingram wants more first-team chances after getting a taste of it earlier in the season.

The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for the Baggies in the 6-0 thrashing against Arsenal, and he clearly has got a taste of it.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Ingram comes across as ambitious and determined, and it is great to see a young player have that determination to make it.

He has had quite a rapid rise at both the international and club level and he clearly believes he is ready to take that next step.

He said: “Not every player will be able to play 40 games, so realistically there’s a chance something will open up for me in the future.

“I’m excited to try and push for that opportunity now.

“Some days, I still can’t believe I’m here, and then other days, it just feels normal to be with the first team.”

Ingram looking for more first-team chances.

The 18-year-old is usually a right-back, so you would think that he could get a first-team chance at some point.

He has been on the bench in the Championship against Middlesbrough and Bournemouth, so he seems to be getting closer and closer to that league debut.

The Baggies have a lot of talented youngsters in and around their youth teams, and Ingram could be the next one to make the breakthrough.

Certainly, he has the right attitude to make it and become a big player potentially in the future.

It would be a wise idea to keep an eye on Ingram, and hopefully, he gets to make his league debut soon enough.

The Baggies are a bit short at the back due to injuries across the backline, so you would think that Ingram should at least be in Valerien Ismael’s thoughts.
