West Brom man Jayson Molumby handed big first-team chance

West Brom man Jayson Molumby should be handed a big first-team chance after the FA upheld Jake Livermore’s ban.

The Baggies captain was sent off against Huddersfield Town at the weekend, and he will miss the next three games [West Brom website].

Therefore, this should allow the 22-year-old Republic of Ireland international to stake a regular place in the West Brom engine room alongside Alex Mowatt.

The former Barnsley man has missed a few games himself but returned to the side at the weekend and should now be given a chance to play alongside Molumby.

If Valerien Ismael decides to go with Molumby, then we should get to see what he can do alongside a player like Mowatt.

The on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion man has a lot of stamina, and his running power combined with Mowatt’s technical ability could be what West Brom have missed this season.

Molumby has also been described as “fantastic” by FAIreland in the past.

Livermore is the captain, but some of his displays have been below par, and we are sure that plenty of Baggies supporters would like to see Molumby take his place in the side.

If he is going to do that, then now is the time for him to show exactly what he can do, and you would hope that Ismael goes for Molumby and Mowatt tomorrow night.

The Baggies need a win to end their awful away run and also keep up with the top two, so let us hope that Molumby and Mowatt can help West Brom to a big win.

In other West Brom news, Keith Hackett has had his say on Livermore’s red card at the weekend.
