Robert Snodgrass frozen out by Valerien Ismael, West Brom to sell in January
Robert Snodgrass has been frozen out of Valerien Ismael’s plans at West Brom and is free to leave in January, according to Alan Nixon.
Writing via his personal Twitter account on Sunday morning, the Sun journalist reported that Snodgrass, 34, has been added to the transfer list ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
Snodgrass has played seven times in all competitions for the Albion this season but hasn’t been in Ismael’s last three squads in the Championship despite not being injured.
Discontent behind the scenes?
There have been murmurs among West Brom fans that Ismael and Snodgrass have had a bust-up.
Ex-Albion striker Kevin Phillips also thinks the same, telling West Brom News this week that “there may have been an issue on the training ground”.
Ismael has proven to be frosty towards journalists when they’ve asked about why 28-times Scotland international Snodgrass isn’t playing and this latest update from Nixon suggests that the potential dispute has led to the player being transfer-listed.
It’s a stupid move by Ismael.

Due to the ineptitude of his midfield options, Alex Mowatt is the only available central midfielder to play against Coventry with Jake Livermore and Jayson Molumby both suspended.
The Baggies have had more red cards than goals in their last six Championship matches, suggesting that there’s a real issue with discipline setting into the squad.
Ismael has already lost the confidence of a lot of fans and it seems as though he may be losing the dressing room.
How long before he loses the trust of the ownership too?
In other West Brom news, Phillips is baffled by this “farcical” announcement about a Baggies player.
