West Brom Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Brom News Facebook page about Dwight Gayle.
The Telegraph report that the Baggies are keen to take the 32-year-old from Newcastle United back to the Hawthorns.
Gayle scored 24 goals when he played for the Baggies and is a proven goalscorer at this level.
This news has drawn the attention of our Super Fans, who had their say.
Could Gayle make a return?
The striker signed a new contract with the Toon in the summer, but the club never announced the deal, and he has barely played since.
In fact, he has played just 96 minutes in all competitions for Newcastle since the start of the season, and you would think that he would be keen to leave.
He was loved at the Hawthorns, and it would be fantastic to see him back at the Hawthorns bagging the goals.
You would think that the Toon could be willing to let him go for very little, just so that they can make space in their squad, and the Baggies should be ready to pounce in January.
Now, he might not suit long-ball football, but Valerien Ismael’s side create plenty of chances from crosses and other opportunities as well, so he could be the man they need to make a late push for the automatic promotion spots.
