West Brom Super Fans have their say on Taylor Gardner-Hickman
This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns…
West Brom Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Brom News Facebook page about Taylor Gardner-Hickman.
Sky Sports awarded the 19-year-old, who started against Coventry City in midfield, the man of the match accolade after helping the Baggies to a 2-1 win away from home.
This led Chris Lepkowski to praise Gardner-Hickman on his Twitter account, and it looks as if Valerien Ismael has a decision to make now with Jake Livermore and Jayson Molumby back.
It is clear that our Super Fans were impressed and want to see more from Gardner-Hickman going forward.
Big game from Gardner Hickman.
This was a huge result for the Baggies, who managed to seal a massive three points and also hold out at the end when Mark Robbins’ team were piling the pressure on.
However, they dug in and sealed a big win that ended that awful bit of form away from the Hawthorns.
Gardner Hickman slotted in perfectly alongside Alex Mowatt and was superb.
He worked hard, he tackled well, and he kept the ball moving.
He wasn’t involved in either of the goals, but he fitted in brilliantly and looked to have played in the Championship for his whole career rather than just his third appearance.
Certainly, Ismael now has a decision to make, and it will be intriguing to see what he does in Albion’s next match.
Clearly, our Super Fans want to see Gardner-Hickman in Ismael’s starting XI and based on this performance; he probably should be playing next week.
In other West Brom news, Norwich are set to recall Jordan Hugill in January.
