West Brom starlet Reyes Cleary has dropped a cryptic post on his Instagram page as talk of a first-team call-up intensifies.
This season, the 17-year-old has been in sublime form for the Baggies’ various youth sides.
This has led to increasing talk about both a new contract and a potential first-team debut.
Certainly, Cleary’s latest story is interesting and hints at something happening.
He said: “Big week next week.”
He was also listening to ‘Don’t Tell ‘Em’ by Jeremih, suggesting that he can’t reveal anything yet.
What does this mean?
The truth is this post could mean anything; however, it does feel significant that in this post, he is wearing West Brom’s home kit, suggesting that this has something to do with the Baggies.
The 17-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns because he is yet to sign a professional contract with Albion [Daily Mail].
So, if this is about a new deal, that would be brilliant news for Albion, and they do need to seal Cleary’s long-term future to at least guarantee a good fee for him.
However, if this is about a potential first-team debut, then that is also good news for the Baggies.
The young striker has been smashing in goals left, right and centre in youth football, and it is probably time that they handed him a chance in the first team.
So, we will be watching out for any news on Cleary next week because either way, it sounds as if something big will happen.
