West Brom interested in signing Marcus Forss on loan in January
West Brom are one of the hosts of clubs that are interested in signing Marcus Forss in January on loan, according to reports from Football League World.
Brentford are ready to allow the 22-year-old forward to leave on loan, with several Championship clubs keen to sign.
The report adds that the likes of Fulham, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Stoke City, Nottingham Forest are also in the race for his signature, while top-flight clubs in France and Germany have registered an interest.
Brentford are not willing to sell him permanently, rather they want a loan move for him, which should be of great help for the Baggies.
The 22-year-old started his youth career with West Brom before moving to Brentford. So, a return to Hawthorns could interest him.
There is strong competition for the Finland international who has dropped down the pecking order at the club behind Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbuemo, and Yoane Wissa.
He has five Premier League appearances this season, mostly from the bench, and would welcome an opportunity to move to the Championship to play regular football till the end of the season.
Forss played in Euro 2020 this summer, although he was only limited to brief cameos from the bench.
He has a long-term deal at the club till 2026, and a loan move is ideal for him.
West Brom are third in the table with 40 points and they are chasing automatic promotion this season. While Forss is yet to open his account so far, he can still make an impact if given regular opportunities.
