Luke Hatfield sends cryptic tweet after former West Brom ace Hal Robson-Kanu appears on Sky Sports
Luke Hatfield has tweeted about former West Brom ace Hal Robson-Kanu’s appearance on Soccer AM.
The 32-year-old featured on Saturday’s episode [18 December] of Sky Sports’ early morning show.
In the video posted by the Baggies’ new social media officer, we can see Robson-Kanu smashing in a stunning volley.
Hatfield’s tweet also includes an eyes emoji at the end of it, perhaps suggesting that he thinks the Baggies should sign the Welsh international.
He said: “Looks like @RobsonKanu’s still more than capable of scoring worldies.”
Could Robson-Kanu do a job?
Now, Hatfield doesn’t specifically say that the Baggies should go out and sign their former striker, but the eyes imply that he could be thinking that.
It is beyond clear that the Baggies need a striker in January but could a short-term deal for Robson-Kanu also work?
The striker has a decent goalscoring record in the Championship; he knows the ground and the club and would probably do a better job than Jordan Hugill.
Now, you would hope that Albion will invest in January and give Valerien Ismael the striker that he needs.

However, if they don’t, they could probably do a lot worse than bring Robson-Kanu back to the Hawthorns.
Even if the Baggies sign a striker in January to take on the main goalscoring burden, West Brom need someone else, and that man could be Robson-Kanu.
Of course, this is all just speculation as things stand, but we would like to see the former Reading man back at the Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, four English sides want to sign one Albion youth player in January.
