AFC Telford could seal loan move for West Brom starlet Ted Cann today

AFC Telford are looking to extend the loan deal of West Brom goalkeeper Ted Cann on Tuesday, according to Lewis Cox.

The reliable journalist has shared that after Cann’s initial one-month switch ended on Saturday (18th December), an extension is now in the works.

A deal could be in place today ahead of a crucial match between Telford and Guiseley in the National League.

Writing on his personal Twitter account last night, Cox shared the latest as a deal could be done before this afternoon.

“AFC Telford hope to extend the loan of young West Brom goalkeeper Ted Cann ahead of tomorrow’s (21st December) crunch six-pointer at home to third-bottom Guiseley.

“Initial one month ended on Saturday. Bucks can climb two places off the bottom, incl. above their visitors, with a win. Huge game.”

Experience.

This is always key in any young players’ development.

It is even more so important for young goalkeepers, who face a tougher task than most to claim the number one shirt at a club.

The Baggies have some exceptional youth talent on their books in between the sticks, with the likes of Alex Palmer excelling away from the club in recent years in the lower leagues.

Cann is only really just starting his journey, but moving to the likes of Telford to play senior football is only going to help him.

Hopefully, this one can be done as soon as possible and he will be straight back into the action against Guiseley this evening.
