Daryl Dike in England ahead of West Brom move
Orlando City forward Daryl Dike is set to complete his move to West Brom and Joseph Masi claims that he is already in England to finalise the transfer.
The Express and Star journalist shared, via his personal Twitter account, that the 21-year-old United States international is set to become the club’s first signing of the January window.
Dike’s arrival is also likely to be their only piece of significant business this month.
Masi wrote, “We said they were moving heaven and earth to do it. Now it’s my understanding Daryl Dike is in England ahead of his proposed move to Albion.”
West Brom have been woeful in front of goal this season and it was obvious that a striker was needed in January.
Jordan Hugill’s loan move has certainly not worked out and we’re unsure as to what the future holds for him.
Dike has been someone who’s worked under Valerien Ismael before so it makes sense that the Baggies have been linked with him.
They’ve accelerated their quest to get him to the Hawthorns and it seems that he’s inching close to joining them.
He’s a proven goal scorer who could kick-start West Brom’s campaign and guide them to the top two.
Ismael’s team have been creating plenty and dominating games, but their end product had been lacking.
With Dike, they seem to have found a solution and the onus now is on the American to deliver.
