David Prutton predicts West Brom clash v QPR
David Prutton has backed West Brom to leave London with a single point on Saturday afternoon when they take on Queens Park Rangers.
The Sky Sports presenter has predicted that it will finish 1-1, with the Baggies once again in a bad rut.
Valerien Ismael will have new signing Daryl Dike to call upon, with a potential debut waiting for the American international.
Writing in his Sky Sports prediction column, Prutton shared his concerns regarding the Baggies this season.
“Two solid away wins for QPR either side of the new year have put them back on course in the play-off hunt,” he said. “They are fifth in the table and have played fewer games than pretty much all the sides around them. They are in a great position.
“West Brom are without a win in three. Of more concern is the fact they have scored just four goals in their last eight Championship games.
“Daryl Dike has arrived, and we saw what he did at Barnsley last season, but there is a lot of expectation on his shoulders to deliver. This one, in truth, could go either way. So I’ll go for a draw.”
We’re all hoping that Dike can change everything for the Baggies between now and the end of the season.
The final third has been a real issue this season, with Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson having too much pressure on their shoulders with goals drying up.
Dike instantly adds another option and brings a newfound pace and power that we currently don’t have in our centre-forward options.
One thing Ismael’s style usually guarantees is chances, and the striker could be the man to finally put them away.
If that happens, QPR are in real trouble, although this certainly won’t be an easy outing as we look to return to winning ways.
