Jeff Stelling makes major last-gasp West Brom play-off prediction after big win v Blackpool
Jeff Stelling has insisted that it is too late for West Brom to make the Championship playoffs this season.
The Baggies scored with the final kick of the game yesterday [15 April] to beat Blackpool 2-1 at The Hawthorns.
Stelling didn’t care about Karlan Grant’s last-gasp winner and doesn’t hold much hope for the miraculous top-six finish.

Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Gilette Soccer Special yesterday on the full-time whistle [15 April], Stelling reacted to the winner.
“It’s surely too late for West Brom,” he predicted.

Slim.
It is still obviously possible for the Baggies to finish in that top six, but none of us are really holding out much hope.
With the gap only being five points, the number of games we have thrown away in recent months is mindblowing.
Stelling was so unbothered about updates at The Hawthorns that shows that little is depending on our results.
Still, many players and Steve Bruce are fighting for their futures to prove themselves beyond this season.
It would be a miracle if we made the playoffs, but winning every last one of our games would give us a chance.
That is the minimum we should expect, and given that this inconsistency has killed our entire season, we doubt it will happen.
Looking at our fixtures which include Coventry, Barnsley and Reading, we should be targeting all of those.
The playoffs will only be on if we go to Nottingham Forest on Monday and win though, can we see that happening? Not really.
