Karlan Grant furious with substitution, aims words at Steve Bruce in West Brom loss v Nottingham Forest
Karlan Grant was furious with Steve Bruce’s decision to take him off early as West Brom lost 4-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Monday night.
According to The Athletic’s Steve Madeley, 24-year-old Grant “appeared to aim some words at Bruce” before throwing his tracksuit top into the Albion dugout.
Grant was replaced by Taylor Gardner-Hickman in the 29th minute as Bruce re-jigged his system due to Darnell Furlong’s red card.
Woeful
It looks like West Brom’s players can show some fight after all.
Jake Livermore finally showed some love for the badge when he put all his heart and soul into crying about a throw-in.
Grant then went and showed his aggressive, in-your-face attitude to a 61-year-old man and a tracksuit.
Stats by WhoScored showed that the ex-Huddersfield forward had a grand total of nine touches prior to his substitution – the lowest of any outfield player on either side.
In all seriousness, though, this squad is a joke.

The senior players at The Hawthorns have been absolutely rotten for some time and we need a massive overhaul in the summer.
Unfortunately, no one in their right mind will come in and buy these players.
West Brom will be paying off Grant’s signing for years to come – Wolves might win a game at The Hawthorns before that transfer is all paid up.
And then the likes of Livermore, Kyle Bartley, Alex Mowatt, Adam Reach, Callum Robinson and Grady Diangana are all still here too.
What a mess this is.
