Jeff Stelling predicts West Brom v Coventry scoreline

Jeff Stelling predicts West Brom will suffer yet another defeat this weekend when they welcome Coventry City to The Hawthorns.

Steve Bruce’s men were in embarrassing form on Monday as they lost 4-0 away at Nottingham Forest.

Soccer Saturday host Stelling now predicts Midlands rivals Coventry to pile the misery on the Albion on Saturday.

Writing on the Super 6 website, Stelling predicted a 1-0 win for the Sky Blues.

He also backs Fulham to win at Bournemouth and Swansea to win over Middlesbrough in South Wales.

Depressing

West Brom fans would be more than happy if the Championship season was just ended now and they didn’t have to watch any more games.

It’s been a stinker of a season and without the early form back in August and September, there’s a chance this squad of chancers would be in a relegation battle.

That’ll be the fear ahead of next season too.

West Brom’s form is among the worst in the Championship and unless big improvements are made over the summer, you can see the rot spilling over into another season.

Bruce has to go, that’s obvious.

The former Aston Villa and Newcastle manager has done a horrible job at The Hawthorns but we cannot blame him more than we blame the owners and the players.

We’ve sat and moaned about Guochuan Lai for years now but those who still don’t get anywhere near as much criticism as they should are the players.

What a gutless, spineless, woeful bunch they are.

Heads must roll this summer.
