West Brom want to sign Newcastle ‘cheat code’ sensation Elliot Anderson on loan – report
West Brom are interested in signing Newcastle sensation Elliot Anderson on loan for next season, according to Mark Douglas.
The i News journalist has reported that the Baggies are among most of the Championship registering an interest in the League Two “cheat code” after his spell with Bristol Rovers.
Elliot is said to be set for a chance with the Magpies’ first-team though over pre-season, with any move currently hanging in the balance.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Douglas shared the major transfer update with a loan move on the cards.
“Elliot Anderson is a Sky Bet League Two ‘cheat code’ – but he nearly didn’t go out on loan,” he wrote. Bristol Rovers and Joey Barton have managed him well and could yet go up.
“West Brom one of clubs who want him for next season (along with most of the Championship and Sheffield Wednesday).”
On fire.
Anderson has been on fire in League Two this season, but of course, it would be a big step up to the Championship.
Scoring seven goals and adding three assists in 20 games has helped the Gas push for promotion into League One.
West Brom have been crying out for an attacking midfielder who can score and assist goals, with Alex Mowatt the only one contributing this season.
Bruce will know that and raiding his old club appears to be a smart move for some much-needed squad depth.
Newcastle will no doubt spend huge money in the summer and leave young players such as Anderson in the dirt and open for loan moves.
It looks as though the Baggies could benefit from that and they could get that much-needed squad depth.
Loan moves from Premier League clubs always help those looking for promotion, and now it is our time to make use of them.
