West Brom want Joe Rothwell this summer, Nottingham Forest set to make offer – John Percy
West Brom are set to battle Nottingham Forest to sign free-agent midfielder Joe Rothwell, according to John Percy.
The Telegraph journalist reports that Forest are set to make an offer with Rothwell’s contract running out at Blackburn Rovers this month.
The Baggies are also interested, and it looks as though they may need to move quick if they want to win the race.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Percy shared the latest state of play with interest coming thick and fast.
“Nottingham Forest are interested in signing midfielder Joe Rothwell, who is a free agent this summer after leaving Blackburn.
“Forest will make an offer to Rothwell regardless of what happens in the Championship play-offs.
“West Brom are another club interested.”
Race.
If Steve Bruce is serious about promotion to the Premier League next season, these are the kind of signings we need.
Rothwell has been the standout man alongside Ben Brereton-Diaz at Blackburn this season, and is now available for nothing.
This will also appeal to the likes of Ron Gourlay, who will be looking for bargain deals as well as squad-strengthening transfers.
Rothwell ticks both boxes, but given how strong Nottingham Forest have been recently, it may be hard to win the race.
If Steve Cooper also guides his side to the Premier League through the play-offs this month, it would likely be impossible.
We are crying out for more options in midfield, and given how many options have been linked already, that is one area where we expect big changes.
Alex Mowatt, Jake Livermore and Jayson Molumby will be around next season, but it looks as though they will have much more competition for places.
Bring it on.
