Andy Carroll sends heartfelt message to former West Brom teammate Daryl Dike

Veteran striker Andy Carroll has sent a heartfelt message to his former West Brom teammate Daryl Dike after the latter posted a picture on his Instagram.

The duo were part of the Baggies in the 2021-22 season where the club finished in the 10th spot in the Championship, eight points behind sixth-placed Luton Town.

In a post on the social media platform on Monday, Dike shares his feelings after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.

In response to that, the former Liverpool striker messaged saying: “Love That Buddy.”

As much as the highs he has seen in his educational career, West Brom fans will be hoping to see Dike shine in a similar manner on the pitch in the next season as well.

Unfortunately for the fans, Dike’s West Brom career thus far has been nothing but a car crash. In the recently concluded season, he suffered a hamstring injury on his full debut against Peterborough.

Dike has only made two appearances for the club in the recently concluded Championship season and is yet to score his first goal for the Steve Bruce’s men [Transfermarkt].

Next season would be an ultimate test for the 22-year-old where he will be playing with all the goalscoring pressure on his shoulders.

As West Brom had decided to release Carroll at the end of the summer, Bruce may find with no other recognized striker except for the US international.

Therefore, it will be interesting to see how Dike will respond to such kind of pressure and whether he has what it takes to deliver on the big stage.

In other West Brom news, there was a heartfelt farewell message left as the vacuum that caused this position battle was created.
