West Brom ace Grady Diangana will be revitalised by John Swift arrival

It wouldn’t be an understatement to say that West Brom lacked any kind of spark in attack last season and things are being done to rectify that.

Most notably, Steve Bruce has gone out and signed two of the Championship’s most creative players from last season for a combined £0 which is the best business we could have done all summer without an enormous sum of money becoming available from out of the blue.

One of those new additions was John Swift after his 24 goal contributions last season and the former Reading man can’t wait to partner up with one of the most exciting players in our side.

“I look to link up with all of the front players and Grady is obviously a great player,” the 27-year-old said, as quoted by the Express and Star. “I like to drift over to the left, he likes to come inside quite often so hopefully we can link up quite well.

“Grady is a great player on the ball, whenever he is on it everyone feels confident he is going to keep it. He can take his man on, he can get to the byline, he can get a good cross in. Hopefully, there is more to come between us.”

Diangana was almost a forgotten man at The Hawthorns after some less than inspiring performances last season but he wasn’t the only one to disappoint and the fresh impetus from Swift might be the catalyst for him to discover his best form again.

On paper, at least, Swift and Diangana should suit each other rather well if Bruce decides to play them both in an attacking system and there is nothing Championship defenders fear more than an in-form Grady.

He has such an incredible turn of speed and agility that he is almost impossible to stop when he’s in full flow and with Swift’s pinpoint passing ability to pick him out, we could have an exceptional partnership on our hands.

In other West Brom news, Ryan Lowe has admitted that he wants to sign this Baggies attacker if he gets the chance.
