West Brom striker Daryl Dike ruled out for two months with thigh injury – BBC Sport
West Brom are set to be without Daryl Dike for two months after he tore his thigh muscle in training, according to a report by BBC Sport.
The Baggies striker picked up an injury last week and subsequently missed the 1-1 draw with Watford as well as the 1-0 win over Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night.
But after Steve Bruce confirmed that the USA international is expected to miss a significant amount of time with the problem, BBC journalist Simon Stone has narrowed that window down and says he will be out for two months.

“With another forward, Daryl Dike, out for two months with a thigh injury, the Baggies are now on the hunt for striking reinforcements,” he said.

Blow
This year was supposed to be a big one for Dike, after his £7m arrival in January saw him pick up a bad hamstring injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season after just three appearances.
Now just kicking a ball in training has seen him ruled out for the first part of the season and with Karlan Grant also picking up a knock against the Blades, the club have no senior strikers at the club.
In a season where promotion has been made a priority, having no primary goalscorer is obviously a huge problem that must be solved in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Reyes Cleary, who just penned a new deal at West Brom, will likely get an opportunity to lead the line now but with his lack of experience it’s impossible to be able to rely on him to immediately step up and carry that load.
Dike’s Baggies career has been nothing short of a disaster so far, and this is just the next chapter in that story to date.
