Chris Lepkowski reacts as West Brom in talks to sign former Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic
Chris Lepkowski is thrilled as West Brom have reportedly entered talks to sign former Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic on a free transfer.
The Telegraph’s John Percy reported that he was likely to sign with the Baggies as they have been looking to sign a midfielder on free.
His contract with the defending SPFL champions expired at the end of last season and now West Brom are keen to make him what seems to be their final signing of the summer.
Via Twitter, Lepkowski wrote, “This would be a very interesting signing. Decent player, likes to get forward.”
Sign him up
The Baggies wanted to sign Steven Alzate from Brighton this summer and everything appeared to be in place.
The Seagulls were also willing to loan him out but due to the late submission of documents on deadline day, that move fell through.
Steve Bruce appears adamant on getting a new midfielder over the line and now the focus appears to be have turned to Rogic.
The 29-year-old had been at Celtic Park for almost a decade and was one of their most consistent players.
However, with them now playing in the Champions League, he was deemed redundant and their loss could be West Brom’s gain.
Rogic’s experience will undoubtedly rub off on the rest of the squad and we cannot wait to see what he brings to the table for them.
