No additional funding from Guochuan Lai as Ron Gourlay fronts West Brom manager hunt
Ron Gourlay is leading the hunt for a new West Brom manager this week after the sacking of Steve Bruce, according to the BBC.
It is reported that with no additional funding on the table from Guochuan Lai, appointments such as early favourite Roy Keane are currently unlikely at The Hawthorns.
Other names suggested also include the likes of Chris Wilder and Sean Dyche as the Baggies currently sit in the relegation zone of the Championship.

Writing in the live blog for the BBC [10/10 13:14], Stone share the latest news coming out of The Hawthorns as the new manager hunt is underway.
“Chief executive Ron Gourlay will lead the West Brom manager hunt following today’s dismissal of Steve Bruce,” he wrote.
“Roy Keane is the early favourite for the role and watched West Brom lose at Preston last week.
“However, with no additional funding from owner Guochuan Lai, it wouldn’t seem the most obvious fit.”

No.
Only a matter of hours into the hunt for a new manager, and it appears as though we can already cross through the name of Keane with the red pen.
That move would be covered in red tape and not many would be excited given his decade stint out of the management game to continue punditry.
Lai doesn’t appear to be playing a big role, if any in the hunt for the new manager, and will most likely just sign off on whoever Gourlay chooses, albeit with no added finances.
Given that funding could be an issue, that could see a move for Dyche also become difficult given his years in the Premier League, where his wages likely reflected that.
Having been at Burnley for so long and taking a payout when sacked, he himself has already admitted he has afforded himself time to make his next decision.
This is going to take some time, isn’t it?
In other West Brom news, speculation is only set to increase surrounding one name as the Baggies job is now available
