Jed Wallace surely gutted after Gary Rowett West Brom development
Jed Wallace has unsurprisingly been a shining light for West Brom in the 2022/23 season after his summer move to The Hawthorns after leaving Millwall.
In a side that has been severely underperforming, the wide man has played with energy and dynamism that can’t be said for the rest of his teammates. The Baggies’ brighter moments of the season came through Wallace under Steve Bruce and It will now be interesting to see how he adapts to a new manager.
The latest manager to be linked with the West Brom job was Wallace’s former manager Gary Rowett. Wallace scored 42 goals during his time at The Den, three of those seasons with Rowett at the helm.

It’s likely Wallace would’ve been eager to link up again with the Millwall boss at The Hawthorns and be assured of being the main man in a style of play that’s conducive to him.
However BBC journalist Simon Stone has revealed (13 October) that the Lions boss is not in line to succeed Bruce at The Hawthorns despite a report from The Sun (12 October) suggesting the 48-year-old could be heading to the Baggies.

This could well come as a blow to Wallace, with it becoming clear that a change of philosophy is what Ron Gourlay is looking for after the disaster of Bruce’s appointment. Albion fans will be eager for a manager to be appointed soon to turn their horrendous start to the season around.
Remarkably, Albion are ten points off of the playoff places despite sitting in the relegation zone at present. It’s certainly time for the board to make a forward-thinking managerial appointment for once.
In other West Brom news, one candidate who is currently available is already set for talks with the club.
