Chris Lepkowski thrilled as positive West Brom injury news emerges from Hawthorns

Chris Lepkowski admits that it will be encouraging to have Daryl Dike and Semi Ajayi back in action for West Brom soon.

Carlos Corberan admitted that the duo were nearing a return to full fitness and could even feature for the Baggies before the international break.

He said, via Express and Star on 31 October, “If everyone progresses how they are doing, before the international break we can have some of these players.”

Reacting to this on Twitter, Lepkowski wrote, “Will be encouraging to have Ajayi and Dike back soon. Defence hasn’t been the same without the former. As for Dike, two big back-to-back soft tissue injuries may play on his subliminal confidence. Fingers crossed he will be fine once he’s going.”

Need them back

West Brom got rid of Steve Bruce and appointed his replacement but the work is not done there.

In fact, it’s only getting started and Corberan faces a big battle to get this side up to the play-offs and fight for promotion.

Looking at the side he’s inherited, they should not be where they currently are on the table, fighting a relegation battle.

They need to be closer to the top six, if not in the top six, being one of the sides guaranteed a play-offs spot.

Dike and Ajayi’s returns will certainly be a big boost for Corberan who will be hoping that the former does not have another long-term injury.

The striker has been extremely unlucky since moving to the Hawthorns and it’s about time that fortune favours him and the Baggies.

Corberan desperately needs a goal-scoring who he can rely on when the chips are down and Dike has proven at this level why he can be that man for them.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has addressed rumours of the Baggies going into administration after what happened recently.
