Kevin Campbell delivers Karlan Grant West Brom exit verdict, ‘It’s a risk’
We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…
Kevin Campbell has suggested it would be a “risk” for West Brom to let Karlan Grant depart The Hawthorns as the January window reaches its conclusion.
TEAMtalk claimed on 20 January that Stoke City had made an approach for the 25-year-old who has endured a tough campaign for the Baggies.
However, Campbell believes Grant should remain at West Brom with Carlos Corberan likely to utilise all of his squad in the coming weeks and months.

“I do think West Brom have the players at the top end of the pitch,” Campbell exclusively told West Brom News.
“They have more than enough and I still think when you look at West Brom’s squad, it’s a squad that you’re going to need all the bodies.
“I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes but Karlan Grant is a good player, there’s going to be injuries and they’re going to need people.
“It’s a talented and experienced squad, but they will need players when there are injuries to come in and hit the ground running. He’s proven he can do the business so I think if you get rid of him and bring somebody else in, it’s a risk.”

The games keep coming thick and fast for Albion with the FA Cup taking centre stage at the weekend as Corberan’s side travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City.
The Baggies will be looking to bounce back after their disappointing late defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor in their last Championship outing.
In other West Brom news, a journalist was blown away by this special strike from a Baggies favourite in the 4-0 rout against Chesterfield in the FA Cup.
