Marc Albrighton starts – West Brom confirmed starting XI v Hull City

Carlos Corberan has named his West Brom starting line-up for their Championship clash against Hull City on Friday, 3 March.

The Baggies will once again be dreaming of a potential play-off glory this season after a superb 2-0 win over high-flying Middlesbrough last time out but will be wary of the fact they have only recorded back-to-back wins just once this calendar year.

As confirmed via the club’s official Twitter account, Corberan has made one change to the team that defeated Michael Carrick’s side at The Hawthorns last week.

West Brom

January recruit Marc Albrighton comes into the side for the injured Grady Diangana, while the rest of the side remains the same.

Daryl Dike continues to lead the line in Brandon Thomas-Asante’s absence and will look to build on his brace scored against Middlesbrough last week.

Momentum

If West Brom harbour ambitions of promotion to the Premier League this season, these are the types of games they simply need to come away with three points from.

Although the Tigers sit only six points beneath Albion in the Championship table, their recent form has been nothing spectacular. They have only managed to pick up two points from the last 12 available to them, and Corberan will look to stretch this run with victory on Friday night.

Playing before any of their Championship promotion rivals this weekend is also a handy situation to be in, as the Baggies can place the pressure on with three points at the MKM Stadium.

The injury list, however, is starting to mount up for Corberan. Grady Diangana and Brandon Thomas-Asante’s recent injuries added to those such as Kyle Bartley and Matt Phillips. The Spanish manager will therefore have to be at his best to navigate his substitutions correctly and manage his players’ minutes over the coming weeks.
