Kean Bryan spotted in West Brom open training session, hasn’t played in well over a year

West Brom defender Kean Bryan has been spotted in an open training session despite not playing for the club in well over a year.

The Albion outcast has barely featured for the club since joining under then-manager Valerien Ismael in September 2021 after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

His last appearance for the Baggies came in a 1-0 win against Hull City in March 2021 and with his contract set to expire in June, he may well be allowed to depart this summer.

West Brom posted a picture on Instagram [4 April] in which the 26-year-old defender was spotted amongst his teammates in an open training session on Tuesday.

Unfortunate end

Bryan has definitely not had the chance to impress at West Brom, with his career completely disrupted by the injury suffered against Hull City early in his spell at the club.

And given he is just 26 years old and still to enter into his prime years, it’s a shame how his career has come to this stage and just goes to show how damaging cruciate ligament injuries can be to footballers.

West Brom

With Carlos Corberan set to undergo a major revamp of the squad in the summer, Bryan will certainly be amongst the whole plethora of departing stars.

The Manchester City academy graduate has plenty of experience, having lined out for the Blades in the Premier League not so long ago, and it’s almost certain that another Championship club perhaps willing to offer him a chance to kickstart his career this summer.

Who knows, he may well be lining up against West Brom next season.

In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
