Jayson Molumby out, Jake Livermore to start in final appearance – West Brom predicted XI v Swansea

West Brom boss Carlos Corberan is expected to make two changes to the starting XI that defeated Norwich on Saturday (29 April) for the clash against Swansea City on Monday (8 May).

The Albion furthered their hopes of a play-off spot with the 2-1 victory against the Canaries at The Hawthorns last month.

The boss would not have wanted to change much from that winning side, but injuries once again look set to derail his plans, with Corberan confirming that Jayson Molumby and Jed Wallace have missed training recently, according to the Birmingham Mail.

West Brom still have a slight chance of making the play-off spots, but the Baggies will be relying on other results going their way in what is expected to be another thrilling Championship final day.

Goalkeeper Alex Palmer is fortunately set to be all good to continue between the sticks, with Darnell Furlong and Conor Townsend continuing at right-back and left-back respectively.

Also set to keep their starting roles at the back are central defenders Semi Ajayi and Erik Pieters, with the duo forming a strong relationship in recent times.

But the first of two potential changes could come in defensive midfield, with Jake Livermore set to replace Jayson Molumby.

The latter has been absent from training through injury, meaning the former could make a rare start, in what will be his final appearance for the Baggies should they fail to reach the play-offs.

The second potential change could take place slightly ahead of them, with injury-worry Wallace set to be replaced by Marc Albrighton at right-wing.

John Swift can be expected to continue in central attacking midfield, with Karlan Grant starting once more at left-wing.

And Brandon Thomas-Asante can be expected to lead the line once more amid the long-term injury to Daryl Dike.

In other West Brom news, Dean Ashton has complained about one incident during the club’s recent Championship win against Norwich.
