West Brom transfer news as priority still remains sales after Dara O’Shea exit
Having brought in £7million from Dara O’Shea’s move to Burnley, West Brom will not be forced to let players go cheaply, according to the Express & Star.
The report states that West Brom’s first priority in this transfer window will be outgoings, as they look to balance the books at the club.
That does not mean, however, that they will allow their best players to leave on the cheap, and will still look to make good money from their sales.

The likes of Jayson Molumby, Karlan Grant and Rico Richards could all be set to leave the Hawthorns having been linked to moves away, but any deals would have to suit West Brom, as the club attempt to limit the financial damage of their Premier League parachute payments drying up.

Good news for Baggies fans
Championship clubs struggling financially can often be bullied into letting star players leave for low transfer fees, as it is the quickest way to recoup funds, but news that West Brom will not be forced into letting their players leave on the cheap will be welcomed by their fans.
While players like Grant and Molumby still look likely to leave the midlands club, the money they bring in would be deals that suit both clubs and could be reinvested into the team.
Avoiding any further financial worries via O’Shea’s transfer and other player deals will put any worries at ease, and should allow the Baggies to target new incomings.
Having been linked to Exeter City’s Josh Key (Football Insider) and Aston Villa’s Marvelous Nakamba (Darren Witcoop) in this transfer window, West Brom have clear replacements in mind should they let any more key players follow O’Shea out of the door.
