Journalist shares ‘imminent’ punishment West Brom looking to avoid as Championship deadline approaches
West Brom duo Kyle Bartley and Okay Yokuslu will face an “imminent” suspension if they pick up a yellow card against Leicester City on Saturday (2 December), according to Joe Chapman.
Writing on the BirminghamLive website on Friday (1 December), the journalist revealed that the Baggies players will no longer be able to pick up a one-game ban for collecting five yellow cards beyond the Foxes clash as the Championship amnesty kicks in after this weekend.
But he added that Bartley and Yokuslu are both walking a “tightrope” as the pair sit on four yellow cards ahead of the league leaders’ visit to the Hawthorns.
Tricky
It will be a tricky game for Bartley and Yokuslu to get through as Leicester will be looking to get forward and put the West Brom defensive players under pressure.
Neither of the players in question will want to risk picking up a yellow card and being ruled out for a game, but they are also not the type to shirk a challenge.
They have both emerged as key players for Carlos Corberan in recent weeks after Albion have been in great form, picking up five wins from their last six matches.

While the Spaniard would see it as a blow to lose either of those players, he will be fully expecting them to go out there and do their jobs in the same fashion they do every week.
The Baggies know they are going to have to be at their absolute best to get something out of the game and it will provide a good insight into where they are at as a team.
In other West Brom news, the WBA Group has added a new document to Companies House following a development.
