Jed Wallace missing as Tom Fellows starts – Confirmed West Brom XI v Swansea
Carlos Corberan has made two changes to his West Brom starting XI to face Swansea City in the Championship on Monday 1 January.
The Baggies boss has chosen to start Kyle Barley ahead of Semi Ajayi in the one and only change to his backline from the win over Leeds United, with the latter dropping down to the bench.
Corberan’s only other change to the starting XI sees Tom Fellows start in place of Jed Wallace who misses out of the matchday squad in its entirety after coming off injured during the win over the Whites.
Jeremy Sarmiento is nowhere to be seen in the matchday squad after West Brom confirmed he had been recalled early from his loan by Brighton.
Keep Climbing
The festive period couldn’t have gone too much better for the Baggies, with wins over both Norwich City and Leeds United. While neither game was a thriller, both were important results against two strong sides in the division and Albion deserve plenty of credit.
However, it won’t mean too much if Corberan’s side isn’t able to follow it up with another win and good performance in South Wales against Swansea City. These are the sort of games that you should be winning if you have genuine ambitions of reaching the playoffs.

If West Brom get anywhere near the level they showed at The Hawthorns against Leeds on Friday (29 January) they’d likely return to the Midlands with three points and a step closer to that top-six finish, but a defeat would be disappointing.
Hopefully, Albion will match the expectations of the supporters making the trip over the River Severn and start 2024 off with a bang, just like how they ended last year. The next few months will be what ultimately defines this Championship campaign.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are unable to recall Karlan Grant from his loan spell with Cardiff City
